Scipher is a Medicare participating provider and is contracted with a number of health insurance plans. PrismRA is covered by both Medicare and Medicare Advantage. Our Billing Specialists provide comprehensive support throughout the billing process to patients who receive PrismRA testing. We also offer financial assistance to individuals who qualify.

Is PrismRA covered by my insurance?

Scipher is contracted with a number of health insurance plans, but your individual health benefits will determine insurance coverage for PrismRA. Please contact your health plan directly about your individual benefits.

The PrismRA billing code is CPT 81599.

Is PrismRA covered by Medicare?
Scipher is a Medicare participating provider and a Medicaid participating provider in many states. PrismRA is covered by Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
What will my out-of-pocket expense be?

Scipher will do all we can to ensure the test is affordable to patients. Each individual health plan has different covered services, co-insurance, co-pays, and deductibles making determining your out-of-pocket cost challenging until the entire billing and appeals process is complete.

If I cannot afford the cost of the test, what are my options?

We offer interest-free payment plans for periods of up to 6 months and financial assistance to those who qualify. Click here to submit your application for the Patient Assistance Program.

If applicable, we also offer a self-pay option.

How do I make a payment?

If you have received a bill from Scipher, you can make payment directly on our Patient Billing Portal, which can be found here.

You can choose the payment option that is right for you and pay quickly and easily.

Diagnostic laboratory tests are also eligible for reimbursement with a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or a Health Savings Account (HSA). We accept all major credit cards, checks, and money orders.

What if my insurance plan sends me a check directly for the cost of the test?
  1. Please endorse your check by signing the back and writing the following under your signature: “Payable to Scipher Medicine.”
  2. Mail the check along with a copy of the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to the following address: Scipher Medicine, PO Box 412849, Boston, MA  02241-2849.
